A Day in the Dutch Countryside

We spent a cold windy day exploring the countryside and its beautiful windmills.  Now this was one of the most touristy things that we did, but it was easy and relatively cheap.  We took a big bus with 50 other people to windmill country, where our first stop literally smelled like chocolate because there was a chocolate factory down the river and the wind was blowing strong.

The highlight that we didn’t expect was spending some alone time with our tour guide. He left his choreographer job at Disney to take 1.5 years off to travel. He was working this job to generate some spending money to continue his travels around the world.  He could sing, dance, and speak 5 languages.  We spent more time with our guide than anyone else.  He ate lunch with us and even wanted to go for drinks with us after.
